 CHILDREN

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE SCHOOL – Infants to 6th grade

Meets at 9:30 a.m.  Infants through 2 year olds.  This class introduces children to the love of God and His creation through four different lessons: Creation, Family, God Made Me, and Baby Jesus. Each lesson is taught for three months with songs and various visuals to reinforce each part of the lesson as well as keep the baby’s attention. The children are seated at a table specially designed for them with the teacher seated at the center. Babies unable to sit by themselves are placed in a baby carrier on the table.

Preschoolers, 2-5 year olds

Children meet in a comfortable, welcoming room dedicated to their age group. Lessons are Bible-based with colorful learning aids, along with activities planned around each lesson, as well as playtime. Snacks are provided for the children during the adult worship time.

Tweeners' Class for 5th through 8th grades

Recognizing that this age group has different needs than those in early elementary, Meadowbrook is offering a Sunday School Class for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  The classes will gear toward worship and real world-application.

Elementary ages, through 4th grade

Meadowbrook's children's ministry is starting a brand new school year.  "Growing in The Lord: How I Should Be" is this year's theme and they will learn about such attributes as willingness, honor, respect, obedience, humility, trust and stewardship.  They will be visited by both Biblical and contemporary heroes exemplifying these traits.  Our goal is not to use the usual Bible stories, but to introduce the kids to some of the lesser-known heroes, such as Ezra, Samuel or Philemon and Onesimus.

JUNIOR CHURCH

Meets at 10:45 a.m.  Children in 1st to 6th grade have their own worship service designed for their age level. Junior Church meets downstairs during the adult worship service.

WEDNESDAY EVENING, through 6th grade

Meets at 7:00 p.m. every other Wednesday.  Classes and activities for children through 6th grade.  Meets during Adult Bible Study.

YOUTH – 7th through 12th graders

Youth Group.  Meets Sundays at 4:30 p.m.  We range in ages but have one thing in common and that is the goal to learn more about Jesus and how we can carry our cross daily. Sunday Youth Group meets for a time of learning and fellowship. Our focus is on worship, prayer and learning to be more like Christ.

Other activities include progressive dinners, outreach projects, scavenger hunts, and movie nights. Activities are posted on the Church Calendar.

Sunday School – 7th through 12 grade ¾ Meets at 9:30 a.m.
